These Terms govern your use of the SonrisaConnect website and services. SonrisaConnect is a business operated by John J Hoyos ("SonrisaConnect", "we"). By using the site you agree to these Terms. Contact: support@sonrisaconnect.com.
1. We are a marketplace, not a medical provider
SonrisaConnect is an online marketplace that introduces patients to independent dental practices in Colombia. We do not provide dental or medical care, diagnosis or advice, and we do not employ the dentists listed. All treatment is provided by the practice, which is solely responsible for it. Nothing on the site is medical advice. Consult your own dentist or physician before deciding on treatment or travel.
2. For patients
- Prices, savings figures and quotes on the site are estimates. The final price is confirmed by the practice after an in-person exam.
- You pay the practice directly for treatment. SonrisaConnect does not set treatment prices and is not a party to your treatment agreement.
- Medical travel carries risks, including complications and the need for follow-up care. Plan for aftercare, keep your records, and consider travel and complication insurance.
- Practice profiles, ratings and reviews on the site may be illustrative samples while we onboard our first practices. We will say clearly when listings and reviews are real.
- Verification means we reviewed documents the practice supplied. It is not a guarantee of clinical quality or outcome.
3. For practices
- Eligibility. You must hold the licenses required in Colombia, keep them current, and be authorized to act for the practice.
- Accuracy. Keep your profile, credentials and USD prices accurate and honor the prices you publish or quote, subject to clinical findings.
- Subscriptions. Plans are billed in US dollars through Stripe, monthly or annually, at the price shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan begins and renews automatically.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals and your listing stays live until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law.
- Optional success fee. If you enable Managed bookings, you agree to pay 7% (5% on Premium) of the treatment value for treatments completed by patients we book for you, invoiced after the treatment is completed. No fee applies to inquiries, no-shows or your existing patients. You agree to report completed treatments honestly and not to avoid the fee.
- No guarantees. We do not guarantee any number of inquiries, patients or revenue.
- Content. You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload and give us a license to display them on the platform. You confirm you have the right to use them.
- Patient data. You are responsible for handling patient information you receive in line with Colombian law (including Ley 1581 de 2012) and any other law that applies to you.
4. Acceptable use
Do not post false or misleading information, impersonate others, upload unlawful content, interfere with the site, or use it to harvest data. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Prices and third-party services
The site may link to or rely on third-party services (for example Stripe, WhatsApp and Formspree). Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability.
6. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The site and services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, SonrisaConnect is not liable for the acts, omissions, treatment or results of any practice, for travel or complication costs, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, including under Colombia Ley 1581 de 2012.
8. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these Terms and will change the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer or data-protection law of your country of residence still applies.
